鈥淚n complex times like this it is critical that we do our part to help ensure a thriving future for the trucking industry,鈥 said ATA Chairman Phil Byrd, Sr., President and CEO of Bulldog Hiway Express.聽鈥淲ith your participation, we can speak with a collective industry voice on what鈥檚 most important to us.鈥澛燭he results of the 2014 survey will be released at the ATA Annual Management Conference and Exhibition, to be held October 4-8, 2014 in San Diego.
鈥淚t鈥檚 been a complicated year for the trucking industry.聽We鈥檙e continuing to deal with and understand the impacts of the new Hours-of-Service rules on our operations. While freight demand continues to grow, so does the shortage of qualified drivers, and the long-term demographic trends for finding new drivers do not look promising. It can be tough to keep track of all the complex issues while also trying to run a safe and profitable business.
The survey, now in its tenth year, is an opportunity for thousands of trucking industry professionals, from drivers to executives, to weigh in on the most important topics that affect trucking and collectively decide on the best strategies for addressing each.鈥
