Country Music and Truck Driving An All-American Combo

Country music recording artist Lindsey Lawler is the new face and voice of the Truckload Carriers Association鈥檚 Highway Angel program.聽Lawler will go on tour to promote a better trucking industry image performing at TravelCenters of America locations throughout the Southeast and Midwest. 鈥淔or the longest time, the trucking and country music industries went hand-in-hand,鈥 said Lawler.

鈥淲e鈥檙e looking forward to expanding the reach of a positive trucking industry image to those outside the industry through music.鈥 Lawler recorded the song 鈥淗ighway Angel鈥 in honor of the truck driving men and women who have risked their own lives to rescue other motorists and have been named Highway Angels by the Truckload Carriers Association. Plus, I can鈥檛 imagine any truck driver getting back on the road without feeling a little prouder.鈥 Arkansans can catch the tour in North Little Rock at the Petro Stopping Center on Tuesday, Oct. 1 and in West Memphis at the Petro Stopping Center on Wednesday, Oct. 2 (both Petros are on I-40). Each stop will feature an hour-long acoustic performance by Lawler from atop a flatbed truck, as well as a live, two-hour radio remote through Renegade Radio Nashville. The tour stops will also have sponsored booths promoting and interactive family-friendly experience.
